About the IELTS Exam

 

 

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a globally recognized exam that assesses your English language proficiency for study, work, or migration purposes. It evaluates your skills in four key areas: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

 

Exam Format

 

Listening (30 minutes + 10 minutes transfer time):

Reading (60 minutes):

Writing (60 minutes):

Speaking (11–14 minutes):

IELTS Scoring

 

IELTS scores range from Band 1 (Non-user) to Band 9 (Expert user). Each section is scored individually, and your final overall band score is the average of all four sections. Scores are rounded to the nearest half band (e.g., 6.5 or 7.0).
